"Treasure Island" Adventure
A day of boating, adventure, island exploring and team building activities with a pirate flavour all followed by a BBQ. A full-on day out.
BASIC DETAILS:
Your team of pirates sail aboard a boat to Treasure Island for a themed day of treasure hunting followed by a BBQ on board. Your day will start with a cruise to "Treasure Island" (Mayor Island) with morning tea served on board.
Transfer to the island is by climbing down a ladder and walking the plank (in true pirate style-you might get wet up to your knees). You will receive a short briefing and then will start the treasure hunting. Treasure hunting involves a team effort to locate pieces of map and clues. To obtain these, your team must work together to solve problems and complete initiative activities involving communication, trust, brainstorming and leadership.
All problem solving and group initiative problems have been carefully chosen to ensure that all members of a team can participate. By spreading the activities out, or keeping them closer together, we can tailor the physical nature of the event to suit your team.
After locating the treasure, the team gets back to the boat for a BBQ followed by the cruise back to Tauranga. What makes this day great is the variety - the boat cruise, outdoor activities, problem solving/initiative exercises, BBQ, boat trip to the Island - something for everyone!

LOCATION: Boat departs from the Tauranga Bridge Marina with an alternative pick-up at Salisbury Wharf, Mount Maunganui.
WEATHER: The event will be cancelled if the weather is not suitable to go out to sea.
INDICATIVE COST: $150.00 to $250.00 per person (depending on numbers, BBQ included).
