Te Kuia

Te Kuia(16M) is one of the most popular charter fishing vessels in Tauranga, comfortable and well built of solid kauri, with extensive seating areas, a huge back cabin, a convenient galley and a large BBQ.
She caters for individuals on public day reef fishing trips and charter groups of up to 35.
She is also set up to do overnight trips for up to 11 people with full sized comfortable bunks, specialising in overnight reef fishing around Motiti and overnight hapuka fishing around Mayor Island

The Te Kuia is available for school groups, clubs, families and other large groups of up to 65 for drop offs to Mayor and Slipper Islands

Species we target are Snapper, Hapuka, Bass, Blue Nose, Gem Fish, Tarakihi, John Dory, Guarnard, Kingfish, Maomao, Blue Cod, Kahawai etc.

  • 8 am from B52, Tauranga Bridge Marina.
  • 8:30 am from Salisbury Wharf, in Mount Maunganui. Returning about 4 pm
  • Adults $100 pp

  • Two or more, pay only $75 pp
  • Children (under 13) $60
  • Children (under 3's) Free
  • Rod Hire (includes all tackle and a free packet of bait) $30
OVERNIGHT FISHING TRIPS

    DEPARTURE TIMES
  • 6 pm from B52, Tauranga Bridge Marina.
  • 6:30 pm from Salisbury Wharf, in Mount Maunganui. Returning about 5-30 pm the following afternoon
  • Per Person $135/$155 (reef/hapuka fishing)
  • Rod Hire $30
  • Overnight (23 hrs) charter price for up to 11 people:
    $1550 (reef fishing around Motiti)
    $1650 (reef/hapuka fishing around Mayor Island)
